The body of a girl allegedly raped in Samarkand was found in a canal

Social networks reported that the body of a young girl who filed a complaint about being raped a month ago was found in a canal passing through the Pastdargom district of the Samarkand region.  The press service of the Prosecutor General's office reacted to these reports.

It is noted that on 1 October this year, the body of 18-year-old Yu. M (woman), who lived in the city of Samarkand, was found in the "Yerteshar" water distribution channel located in the Kamolot neighborhood of the Pastdargom district.

To determine the cause of death and other circumstances, a forensic examination and relevant service investigations have been appointed.

Currently, the investigation is being carried out by the Prosecutor's office of Pastdargom district in connection with this situation.
