Those selling pure bullion gold were caught in Samarkand

The General Prosecutor's Office's Department reported that individuals Sh.G. and I.K. were nabbed in Narpay district, Samarkand region, for illegally selling pure bullion gold, derived from unlawfully mined and processed sands with gold particles. The incident unfolded during a joint operation conducted by the State Department and regional offices of the Samarkand department.

During the operation, the suspects sold 143.9 grams of pure bullion gold to citizen Z.I. for 2,000 US dollars and 180 million soums. Expert analysis confirmed the gold's purity at 99.5%, with a silver content of 0.06%. 

Consequently, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 177 of the Criminal Code for the illegal acquisition or transfer of currency values, with ongoing investigative efforts, as stated in the report.
