A leader in Samarkand was apprehended for stealing gas valued at nearly 3 billion soums

In the Toyloq district of Samarkand region, authorities uncovered a greenhouse engaged in gas theft amounting to 2.9 billion soums. This revelation came from the Department of Combating Economic Crimes affiliated with the General Prosecutor's Office.

The head of LLC I.M. was found culpable for covertly connecting the heating boiler and manual burners in the greenhouse to the public gas network for commercial purposes, causing 2.9 billion soums in damages to the state and society.

Following this discovery, a criminal case has been launched under Article 169 (theft) of the Criminal Code, with ongoing investigative efforts underway.

It's worth noting that earlier in the Urganch district of Khorezm region, authorities exposed a farm illicitly utilizing 3.3 billion soums worth of natural gas.
