Woman was fined for running over a dog in Samarkand

A woman who deliberately ran over a dog lying on the road in the Samarkand region has been fined. The press secretary of the regional internal affairs department, Jahongir Sagdullaev, shared this information.
A video showing the driver of a Damas car intentionally running over a dog circulated on social media, sparking widespread outrage. Law enforcement officers identified the driver and imposed a fine of 340,000 soums.
"Actions were taken against the Damas driver for committing the offense of cruelty to animals under Article 111 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility of the Republic of Uzbekistan," stated Sagdullaev.
It is worth noting that earlier in Samarkand, individuals who tied a dog to a car and dragged it were also punished.
