In Samarkand, individuals who received $74,550 from 16 people in exchange for sending them to work in the state of Israel were detained. This was reported by the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the Prosecutor General's Office.

During a pre-investigation conducted by the Samarkand city department, it was revealed that citizen J.R. together with his acquaintances I.K. and U.Sh. established LLC “J.I.” and advertised that they would send citizens to work in the state of Israel. In September 2024, they deceived 16 citizens and fraudulently obtained a total of $74,550 and 22.5 million soums in exchange for sending them to work in Israel.

In another case, during an operational operation carried out in cooperation with the Uchtepa district department and other law enforcement agencies, citizen D.T., along with citizens Kh.U. and D.N., who had gained the trust of people by promising to send them to work in Canada and secure visas for $44,000 with the help of acquaintances, was caught with material evidence when he received $8,000.

Criminal cases have been initiated under Articles 168 (fraud) and 28, 211 (bribery) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and investigative actions are currently underway.

We would like to remind you that earlier in the Andijan region, individuals who promised to send people to work in Japan were detained.
