Due to gas explosion, 4 members of a family die in Samarkand

7014Reports have emerged on social media regarding a tragic incident in which four members of a family died due to a gas explosion in a house located in the Kushrabot district of Samarkand region. QALAMPIR.UZ reached out to Hayot Shamsutdinov, spokesperson for the General Prosecutor's Office, for clarification on the matter.
The incident occurred today, October 22, at approximately 5:52 AM, at the sixth house on Gofur Gulom Street in the "Mustaqillik" neighborhood, Kushrabot district. The victims—R.S., born in 1972; M.I., born in 1969; F.Kh., born in 2002; and D.K., a minor born in 2007—died from natural gas poisoning and burns sustained during the resulting house fire.
The district prosecutor's office has initiated a forensic examination to ascertain the causes of death for the deceased individuals. An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
In a related note, it was reported earlier in Ferghana that a man and his two children lost their lives due to carbon monoxide poisoning, attributed to the use of a non-standard homemade heating stove in their apartment.
