3804A person who cut down seven trees in Samarkand was fined, as reported by the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change.
During a raid conducted by the Narpay district department, it was discovered that citizen R.I. had illegally cut down seven bushes of various fruit trees.
An administrative report was filed against the offender under Article 79 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which addresses the illegal cutting, logging, damaging, destroying, or relocating of trees, bushes, other plants, and seedlings. A fine of 25 times the base amount, totaling 8 million 500 thousand soums, was imposed on R.I.
Additionally, it was determined that the citizen's actions caused damage amounting to 3 million 230 thousand soums. Therefore, the offender will have to pay a total of 11 million 730 thousand soums.
It is worth noting that three individuals who cut down 22 ornamental trees in the Qorakol district of the Bukhara region were fined over 171 million soums.
