On May 28, Saida Mirziyoyeva, Assistant to the President of Uzbekistan and eldest daughter of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, met with Anton Vaino, Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, during a visit to Moscow at the invitation of the Russian side. Mirziyoyeva announced the meeting on her official social media pages.

According to the announcement, the two sides discussed the current state and future prospects of Uzbek-Russian cooperation, which continues to develop at a steady pace and is delivering tangible results.

“Particular attention was paid to coordinating and implementing agreements reached at the highest level. Confidence was expressed that the mechanism being created to monitor the implementation of agreements will become an effective tool for cooperation between the Presidential Administrations in solving the tasks set by the leaders of our states,” Mirziyoyeva wrote.

The discussion also covered key areas of trade, economic, and investment partnership, including innovative projects and interregional cooperation. In addition, both sides exchanged views on priority areas of bilateral collaboration in the humanitarian sphere, as well as issues related to labor migration.

“The importance of close coordination and joint work on all issues of mutual interest was emphasized,” the statement noted.

It should be recalled that just last month, Saida Mirziyoyeva met with Valentina Matvienko, Chairperson of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, during the 150th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, held in Tashkent.
