Saida Mirziyoyeva, Assistant to the President of Uzbekistan, met British supermodel Naomi Campbell during the IV World Conference on Creative Economy in Tashkent yesterday, October 2. Saida Mirziyoyeva announced this on her Telegram channel.

It is noted that more than 2,000 participants from over 80 countries gathered at the 3-day conference to discuss the future of creative industries, exchange experiences, and create new opportunities for cooperation. Among them was 54-year-old Briton Naomi Campbell, who began her career on the runway at the age of 15.

From the pictures posted on the Telegram channel, it can be seen that public figures from around the world attended, including Sheikha Al-Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Soni, sister of the Emir of Qatar, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, the former deputy governor of Jakarta, and alongside them, the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Abdulla Aripov, Chairman of the Oliy Majlis Senate Tanzila Norboyeva, Director of the Youth Affairs Agency Alisher Sadullayev, and Tashkent City Mayor Shavkat Umurzakov participated in the conference. It can also be seen from the pictures that Saida Mirziyoyeva’s children attended the event as well.

By the decision of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on August 23 of this year, an organizational committee for the preparation and holding of the conference was formed under the leadership of Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov.

The theme of this year's conference is "Inclusive Creativity: A Changed Reality." It is dedicated to addressing social and economic challenges related to the rapid development of technologies, particularly the introduction of artificial intelligence.

As part of the conference, there will be a meeting of ministers involved in the creative economy, an exhibition dedicated to the creative economy globally and in Uzbekistan, seminars, consultations, practical training, presentations, and other events.

During the forum, art residencies are expected to be launched in Tashkent under the Center of Modern Art. Presentations of projects from the French Cultural Center, and the National Restoration Center, as well as the creation of creative economy clusters at the "Abulqasim" madrasa and the "Ohunguzar" cultural heritage site, will be held.

Following the conference, the fund, in collaboration with the Agency for Strategic Reforms, will organize efforts to improve the draft law "On Creative Economy" with input from conference participants, international experts, industry representatives, and the general public.

For reference, the First World Conference on Creative Economy (WCCE) was held in Bali, Indonesia in 2018. It took place in Dubai (UAE) in 2021 and again in Bali in 2022. The event aims to foster international cooperation, highlight the role of creativity in building an inclusive and sustainable economy, and shift the focus from a resource-based economy to a knowledge-based one.

We also remind you that the dates for the 16th Tashkent International Film Festival "The Masterpiece of the Silk Road," which was scheduled to be held in Tashkent on September 15-19 this year, have been postponed.
