Saida Mirziyoyeva meets with Baroness Rothschild

Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan and the eldest daughter of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, met with Baroness Arielle Malard de Rothschild, a member of the Supervisory Board of Rothschild & Co, in London. She reported the meeting on her social media pages.

Today’s Uzbekistan is a rapidly developing country with a clear reform strategy and a strong economic foundation. I am pleased that Rothschild & Co. is actively participating in this process of transformation, and I look forward to the further development of our mutually beneficial cooperation,’’ Saida Mirziyoyeva wrote.

From the photos shared by Saida Mirziyoyeva, it can be seen that she was accompanied at the meeting by her son, Miromon Tursunov; her contracted advisor and Head of the Project Office for Human Capital Development, Nozimakhon Davletova; Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Ravshan Usmonov; and Fathulla Nigmanov.

Baroness Arielle Malard de Rothschild is one of the co-founders of Financi’Elles, an organization that promotes gender diversity in the financial sector. She has served as Managing Director at Rothschild & Co since 2006 and has been a member of its Supervisory Board since 2014. From 2007 to 2018, she was President of CARE France and currently serves on the Supervisory Board of CARE International. Baroness de Rothschild holds a PhD in International Economics and visited Uzbekistan earlier this year.

It is worth noting that on October 9, Saida Mirziyoyeva met in Brussels with President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Vice President of the European Commission Kaja Kallas. Mirziyoyeva also held a meeting in Brussels with European Commissioner for International Partnerships Jozef Sikela. On October 13, she met in London with Odile Renaud-Basso, President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
