The Financial Monitoring Agency of Kazakhstan found out that grain brought from Russia under the guise of Kazakh grain was being exported to other countries. This was reported by TASS with reference to the Agency.

It is noted that in the period from 2021 to 2022, one of the local companies exported 8,300 tons of Russian grain worth a total of 2.2 million dollars to Tajikistan, Afghanistan, and Uzbekistan.

In order to obtain a preferential export tariff, the company used fake "invoices" from local farms certifying that the grain was from Kazakhstan. This made it possible to avoid the transit tariff.

Investigative actions are being carried out in connection with this situation.
