Uzbekistan Airways requested passengers heading to Russian cities to refrain from bringing incense. The company's press service reported this measure.

According to the Russian Government's decree, harmala, commonly known as incense, is classified as a controlled substance due to its drug content. Any import-related activities regarding incense are criminally punishable under Article 229.1 of the Russian Criminal Code.

The airline's message urges passengers not to transport this plant in their hand luggage or checked baggage to comply with these regulations.
