A plane flying from Russia on the Krasnoyarsk-Tashkent route encountered an "anomalous meteorological phenomenon" — hail. The press service of Uzbekistan Airways reported this.

On August 3, the A320 UK32015 flying from the city of Krasnoyarsk encountered hail on the border of Russia and Kazakhstan. According to the report, this is a strange meteorological phenomenon for an aircraft flying at an altitude of 11,000 meters.

The hail damaged the windshield of the aircraft. The flight continued after the implementation of specified procedures. There were 174 passengers and 6 crew members on board. However, there was no information about any injuries. The landing in Tashkent was carried out according to schedule. A post-flight inspection revealed damage to the weather locator nose cone.

"Currently, the damaged part is being repaired. In the coming days, the aircraft will resume regular flights. This incident does not pose a threat or a serious problem for the continuation of flights," the report stated.

We remind you that earlier it was reported that a plane belonging to Uzbekistan Airways, carrying out the Istanbul-Samarkand flight, had to make an emergency landing at the airport in Baku, Azerbaijan. This was caused by the sudden deterioration of the health of one of the passengers.
