5370A Lufthansa flight, LH-726, en route from Munich to Shanghai, was forced to make an emergency landing at Tashkent airport at 08:13 today.
According to Uzbekistan Airports, the decision to land was prompted by the deteriorating health of a 57-year-old Italian passenger who experienced unstable blood pressure during the flight. Upon landing, the passenger was promptly taken to a medical facility in the capital for urgent care.
After ensuring the passenger's safety, flight LH-726 resumed its journey from Tashkent to Shanghai at 10:04.
This incident follows a similar emergency landing earlier when a flight heading to Samarkand had to divert to Baku due to a passenger's sudden health crisis. That flight successfully continued to Samarkand after addressing the medical emergency.
