Gas transit from Russia to Uzbekistan is commenced

Today, October 7th, Presidents Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan, Vladimir Putin of Russia, and Kasim-Jumart Tokayev of Kazakhstan initiated the process of delivering Russian gas to Uzbekistan through Kazakhstan.
According to available data, Uzbekistan has entered into a commercial contract to purchase 2.8 billion cubic meters of gas from Russia annually.
Previously, President Putin emphasized that this transit project is mutually beneficial and serves to enhance the energy security of the entire region.
It is important to note that gas is being transported from Russia to Uzbekistan via Kazakhstan, with a portion of it also being supplied to Kazakhstan.
