32254Uzbeks living in the Kursk, Bryansk, and Belgorod regions of Russia have been advised to stay indoors unless necessary. This warning was issued by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Russia.
The embassy noted that due to the current situation in these regions, residents should take necessary precautions, avoid large gatherings, limit visits to public places, and, for students in these areas, temporarily switch to distance learning.
"For consular assistance or advice, please contact the call center of the consular department at the embassy in Moscow at +7 499 238-36-20 or +7 499 230-00-76," the statement added.
For context, on August 6, the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched an attack on the Kursk region. A federal state of emergency was declared in the region on August 9. On August 10, the National Anti-Terrorist Committee of the Russian Federation imposed an anti-terrorist operation regime in the Belgorod, Kursk, and Bryansk regions. Evacuations began in the Krasnoyaruzhsky district of the Belgorod region, which borders Ukraine, on August 12.
