1534On January 22, 2024, a minor from Uzbekistan, who had been left without parental care, arrived in Tashkent under the supervision of officers from the Samara Regional Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs. The National Agency for Social Protection reported the child's return.
The child had been temporarily placed in the Center for Social and Legal Assistance to Minors under the Tashkent Department of Internal Affairs upon arrival. In 2023, the child had traveled to Russia for labor migration with his mother. During a raid, he was sent back to Uzbekistan for violating the terms of his stay in Russia.
The whereabouts of the child's parents remain unknown. The "Inson" social service center is currently working to find an alternative placement for the child.
This case follows the earlier return of a 15-year-old Uzbek boy who had escaped from an orphanage in Turkey. The boy was reunited with his family in Uzbekistan, accompanied by his grandmother.
