The Russian company "Transport Buduyuschego", a developer of unmanned aerial systems, will establish a joint venture in Uzbekistan to manufacture civilian drones by the end of 2025. The announcement was made on April 28 by the company’s General Director, Yuri Kozarenko, during the plenary session of the international industrial exhibition “INNOPROM. Central Asia” held in Tashkent.

“We have analyzed the market and can confirm that tens of thousands of drones could be economically utilized right now. This translates to significant profit potential. The joint venture we are launching in the Republic of Uzbekistan will go into operation by the end of this year. The production volume is expected to exceed $100 million in its first stage, with at least 50 percent of the products localized in Uzbekistan. This project encompasses the design, manufacturing, and operation of drones,” said Kozarenko.

Kozarenko emphasized that effective drone use requires extensive collaboration between aviation authorities—namely, Russia’s Federal Agency for Civil Aviation and Uzbekistan’s Civil Aviation Agency under the Ministry of Transport (Uzaviation).

“This includes building the necessary infrastructure to ensure the safe and economically efficient operation of drones. We are taking responsibility for this effort, working closely with our Uzbek partners,” he stated.

He also backed the idea of establishing a joint scientific and technical council on drones, highlighting its potential to address both current and future needs.

“In the future, technological leadership alone won’t be enough. We need new approaches to science and education—an education system that is not ordinary, but highly effective. Businesses must clearly understand the value of investing in the development of new human potential,” Kozarenko added.

The company "Transport Buduyuschego" is inviting Uzbekistan to collaborate on joint projects where the Russian side would act not only as a technology supplier but also as a partner in co-developing and producing technology and finished products.

It is worth noting that President Shavkat Mirziyoyev attended the fifth international industrial exhibition “INNOPROM. Central Asia”, which opened in Tashkent on April 28. The exhibition features innovative solutions, modern equipment, and finished products across sectors including mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, metallurgy, chemicals, transport, construction, and IT. On the sidelines of the event, President Mirziyoyev met with a Russian delegation led by First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov.
