Trucks are prohibited from entering Tashkent for a day

5439Due to Ramadan's Eid, trucks are barred from entering and moving within Tashkent, as reported by the city's HDIA.
The restriction will be enforced starting today, April 9, at 5:00 p.m. until tomorrow, April 10, at 5:00 p.m., with the aim of enhancing security measures in the capital, according to the HDIA.
Emergency and rescue service vehicles, along with special vehicles, are exempt from this restriction.
Yesterday, April 8, the Cabinet of Ministers convened a video conference to ensure a peaceful and joyous Eid-ul-Fitr celebration. On the first day of Eid-ul-Fitr, April 10, all public transport in the republic will operate from 4:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. with free service for residents. Additionally, on April 10, the Tashkent metro will offer free rides from 4:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in observance of Ramadan's Eid.
