The president offers to renounce the 2 trillion debts of entrepreneurs

Debts in the amount of 2 trillion soms, calculated on the basis of increased tax rates of entrepreneurs, can be renounced.  President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan made such a proposal on 22 August, during an open dialogue with entrepreneurs.

It should be noted that since 1 July of the current year the application to increase rates of property and land tax to vacant buildings and unused land has been abolished.
However, 19,000 entrepreneurs began to worry about what would happen to previously inflated taxes, and there were many appeals in this regard.

“Taking those into account, how would you accept it if we completely give up the debts of 2 trillion som calculated at increased tax rates of entrepreneurs?” - Shavkat Mirziyoyev addressed to entrepreneurs.

At the meeting, the president also put forward an initiative to create a convenient system of financing for the expansion of the activities of our entrepreneurs and the implementation of new projects.  In this regard, it is planned to allocate 20 trillion soms for small business projects.

Speaking about the third direction, the president emphasized that lending is only one side of the issue, and that a business needs sufficient conditions, infrastructure, and a guaranteed market. Therefore, first of all, special approaches for business are introduced based on the conditions of districts and cities.
