3775Non-state preschools and general secondary education organizations in Uzbekistan will be exempt from all taxes until January 1, 2030. This decision was outlined in the presidential decree "On Additional Measures to Increase the Participation of the Private Sector in the Field of Education," issued on November 22.
The decree stipulates that by January 1, 2030, non-state educational organizations will not pay customs fees (except customs clearance fees) for goods and equipment not produced in Uzbekistan. This includes modern educational and laboratory equipment, computer hardware and software, and educational and scientific-methodological literature, along with other material and technical resources.
Starting January 1, 2025, educators permanently employed in non-governmental educational organizations will be eligible for A-2 entry visas. Furthermore, the fee for issuing a certificate granting the right to work to foreign specialists employed by state and non-state educational organizations will be reduced from 30 times the base calculation amount (BCA) to 1 time.
Earlier, it was reported that practical training on the tactical and technical use of firearms would be included in the curricula of educational institutions. These initiatives reflect the government’s efforts to modernize education and increase private sector involvement.
