The President lists the regions with the lowest production of electrical engineering

Production of electro-technical products in Karakalpakstan, Bukhara, Kashkadarya, Surkhandarya and Khorezm is several times lower than in other regions.  The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, said this at a meeting on promising trends in the electrical engineering industry and the main tasks in the future.

At the meeting, the President pointed out the current issues in this field that are waiting for their solution.

It is noted that the situation in world markets shows that exports could reach 1.5 billion dollars in two years.  In addition, the domestic market also has imports worth 1 billion 300 million dollars.

In addition, demand for semiconductors and circuit boards in the domestic and surrounding markets is 6 billion dollars. For example, all the raw materials needed for the production of lithium-iron-phosphate batteries for the electric car industry are available.

At the meeting, all opportunities were created in the regions in this regard.  However, it was shown that the leaders of the region calculated these opportunities and did not use them.  In particular, the production capacity of electrical engineering products is 2-3 times lower (less than 200 billion sums) compared to other regions in Karakalpakstan, Bukhara, Kashkadarya, Surkhandarya and Khorezm.

Today, only one or two local brands have entered the export market.  80% of the export goes to these brands.

It was emphasized that at least 3-4 new brands should be created to increase exports to 1.5 billion dollars.
