Parliament is given the right to dissolve itself

The Legislative Chamber and the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan are authorized to voluntarily dissolve their respective bodies. This significant change is outlined in the draft law titled "On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legal Documents of the Republic of Uzbekistan."
Presently, this bill is undergoing discussions in the lower house of parliament. In the event of its approval, a new election for the Legislative Chamber will be conducted within a period of two months. The composition of the Senate will also be reconstituted within one month.
