Mirziyoyev neets with Vice President of the UAE

Today, January 15, during his visit to Abu Dhabi, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan met with Sheikh Mansour Al Nahyan, Vice President of the United Arab Emirates. The meeting was reported by the President’s press service.

The discussions focused on key issues related to the expansion of multifaceted cooperation and practical partnerships in priority areas.

"Today, we were pleased to note the successful outcome of the historic negotiations at the highest level, which have elevated Uzbek-UAE relations to a strategic partnership. We also expressed support for the full implementation of agreements reached with the leaders of prominent UAE companies and holdings," the report stated.

Special emphasis was placed on increasing mutual trade and investment, with a focus on promoting cooperation in housing and transport infrastructure, energy, mining, urban planning, digitalization, and other key sectors.

The two leaders also identified joint projects and programs in artificial intelligence, including the training of specialists in this field, as a promising area for future collaboration.

It is important to note that President Mirziyoyev arrived in the United Arab Emirates on January 13 for an official visit. At Abu Dhabi International Airport, he was greeted by Sheikh Mansour Al Nahyan and other officials. The following day, the President delivered a speech at the Abu Dhabi Sustainable Development Week summit. He also met with representatives from the Presidential School in Tashkent, which was honored with the prestigious Sheikh Zayed Al Nahyan Award for Sustainable Development in the "Global Secondary Schools" category, and congratulated them warmly on their achievement.

On January 14, as part of the business events of his visit, President Mirziyoyev held meetings with a delegation of leading UAE companies led by Minister of Artificial Intelligence, Omar bin Sultan Al-Olama, Minister of Investment, and CEO of ADQ Holding, Muhammad Hassan Al-Suwaidi.

Today, January 15, President Mirziyoyev and UAE President Sheikh Mohammed Al Nahyan held discussions in a private meeting at the Qasr al-Shati residence in Abu Dhabi, with official delegations present. A declaration was signed, establishing strategic partnership relations between Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates.
