Earlier, it was reported that Sitora Turdibekova from Uzbekistan lost to Lin Yu-Ting from Chinese Taipei, who was recognized as a man according to the International Boxing Association (IBA) tests, at the Paris Olympic boxing match.

IBA President Umar Kremlev stated that this situation is a disgrace for the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and announced that female boxers who compete against male boxers will be awarded $100,000 by the IBA.

"The IBA will reward female boxers who have been wronged in the Olympics with the same amount of money given to the first-place winners. We protect everyone and, of course, fight against gender discrimination. What is happening at the Olympics right now is the most embarrassing situation of all time. Athletes are suffering from the cynicism of the IOC leadership, and many are ending their careers due to gender discrimination and lack of fair competition. We will continue to support our athletes, and it is time for other international associations to stop being silent and follow our example!" Kremlev wrote on his page.

It should be noted that in addition to Turdibekova, Italian Angela Carini refused to continue her fight in the 46th second against her opponent, Algerian Iman Khelief, because Khelief, a few hours before the gold medal match at the 2023 World Championships in New Delhi, failed to comply with the International Boxing Association's criteria. At that time, a genetic test revealed that Iman Khelief was a man.
