Otabek Umarov meets with the Director of the Olympic Council of Asia

Yesterday, on October 2, Vice President of the Olympic Council of Asia Otabek Umarov met with the Director of the Olympic Council of Asia, President of the World Swimming Federation Husayn Al Musallam, who is currently in Tashkent. This was reported by the press service of the National Olympic Committee (NOC).

At the meeting held at the Olympic and Paralympic Museum of Fame in the capital, Musallam first shared his conclusions on the study of the Olympic Village.

At the event, Musallam noted that the preparations for the 2025 Asian and Para-Asian Youth Games in Tashkent are going well, that the construction work in the Olympic town is on track, and that the organizational work is proceeding as planned. At the same time, Musallam provided recommendations on a number of issues that should be given attention. Officials also stated that large-scale preparations are being made for the upcoming games, and the process is under the President's personal control.

During the conversation, the parties discussed several prospective plans for the next stage of mutual cooperation.

After that, Al Musallam became acquainted with the modern museum. He was given detailed information about the glorious history of Uzbek sports and its successes today. In the end, he recorded his heartfelt impressions in the book of honored guests.
