On February 12, the draw ceremony for the 2026 AFC U-17 Asian Cup took place at the AFC headquarters in Kuala Lumpur. Uzbekistan was placed in Group D.
According to the draw results, Uzbekistan’s U-17 national team will face Australia, India, and North Korea in Group D.
Uzbekistan will begin its Asian Cup campaign with a match against North Korea. The tournament will be held in Saudi Arabia from May 7 to 24, 2026.
For reference, Uzbekistan’s U-17 national team are the defending champions of the Asian Cup in this age category. Led by Islom Ismoilov, the team defeated Saudi Arabia in the final of the 2025 tournament to lift the trophy despite being reduced to nine players.
