Ortikhodjayev decides to transfer parking lots near “Tashkent” airport to “Uzbekistan Airports”

Parking lots near “Tashkent” airport will be transferred to the “Uzbek airports” company.  This is stated in the decision of the governor of Tashkent Jakhongir Ortikhodjaev on 30 May of the current year.

According to the decision, parking areas of the international terminal «Tashkent-2» and the terminal «Tashkent-3» which is for domestic flights, as well as parking lots adjacent to the airport of the capital will be transferred to the balance of “Airports of Uzbekistan”.

“The transfer of these areas will allow for the automation of parking spaces, the convenient reshaping of facilities in front of the airport, the creation of more facilities for passengers and observers, as well as the solution of problems related to the taxi service, which need to be solved. It is being planned to introduce an automated system that will allow parking fees to be paid for without the participation of a person. The company is also developing a flexible tariff system that takes into account the location of parking lots and the duration of their use (hours, day),” – Ra’no Jurayeva, Chairman of the Board of the company “Uzbekistan Airports” said.

Later, the State Assets Management Agency will issue an order to evaluate parking spaces and increase the state’s share in the joint-stock company.  After that, the only shareholder - the Ministry of Finance - in the appropriate order will adopt a decision to increase the share of the state-owned company and include the cost of parking in the authorized capital.  In the end, the cadastral documents for all the works done will be re-issued by the Cadastral Agency from the «Center for Management of Municipal Property» to JSC «Airports of Uzbekistan».
