In Kazakhstan, a mother threw her two children from the fifth-floor window of a building. The news was reported today, February 9, by NUR. KZ, citing the Jambyl Region Police Department.

According to sources, the tragic incident occurred in the city of Taraz. The children, born in 2021 and 2023, miraculously survived but sustained serious injuries. Doctors reported that both children suffered closed head injuries and brain swelling.

In addition, the older child experienced a femoral displacement. Medical teams are currently working to save the lives of both children. The youngest child underwent CT scans of the head, chest, and pelvic bones. Necessary medical treatments, including laparocentesis, have been administered, and ongoing care has begun. Surgery on the older child’s leg is also expected.

Pre-trial investigation proceedings have been initiated in connection with the case. The suspect, a woman, has been taken into custody and placed in a temporary detention facility. Investigators are currently conducting necessary inquiries. The motive behind the woman’s actions has not yet been disclosed.

It is worth noting that earlier reports indicated a similar incident in the Olmazor district of Tashkent, where a woman reportedly threw her two children and attempted to jump from a multi-story building.
