5577Five criminal cases against 240 victims of repression were considered in the Supreme Court, and all of them were acquitted. This was reported by the press service of the Supreme Court.
Yesterday, on August 24, according to the decisions of the special meeting of the Tripartite Council, the High Court was informed that in 1929-1931, in the territories of the present Republic of Karakalpakstan, Surkhandarya, Navoi, Samarkand and Kashkadarya regions, being members of the “printing” movement, armed 5 criminal cases against 240 citizens of Uzbekistan SSR and Kazakhstan SSR, who were accused of forming a gang and carrying out armed rebellion against the Soviet government or counter-revolutionary actions, were opened and investigated by the working group. Researched.
The Deputy Prosecutor General has submitted petitions to renew the deadline for submitting an appeal protest to the Supreme Court’s Criminal Trial Panel in connection with the above-mentioned criminal cases, as well as protests in the appeal procedure.
In the open court sessions, these petitions and protests were considered and satisfied, and according to Article 83 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, acquittal was issued by the appellate instance of the Criminal Trial Panel of the Supreme Court against 240 persons in a total of 5 criminal cases. .
