After the 15th day of the Olympics, Uzbekistan demonstrates significant progress

As of the 14th day of the ongoing Olympic Games in Paris, the Uzbekistan delegation has secured 5 gold medals, ascending to 14th place in the overall team standings.

Previously, the delegation was ranked 43rd, thanks to a single gold medal won by judoka Diyora Keldiyorova and bronze medals earned by Muzaffarbek Turaboev and Alisher Yusupov. However, the gold medals won by Hasanboy Dusmatov and Ulugbek Rashidov contributed to a 25-place improvement in the rankings.

Uzbekistan's position in the overall world ranking was further bolstered by the bronze medal won by freestyle wrestler Gulomjon Abdullaev, as well as the gold medals secured by boxers Asadkhoja Moydinkhojaev and Lazizbek Mullojonov.

The United States continues to lead the rankings, with 33 gold, 39 silver, and 39 bronze medals, for a total of 111. China and Australia currently round out the top three.

Today, the Uzbekistan delegation will compete in seven events. Weightlifters will participate in today's competitions, along with finals in boxing, freestyle wrestling, and rhythmic gymnastics.
