House was presented to a girl from Uzbekistan who fought with a male boxer at the Olympics

Sitora Turdibekova from Uzbekistan, who competed in boxing at the Paris 2024 Olympics, has been awarded a house in Bulungur district, Samarkand region, where she was born and grew up. This was announced by the press service of the district administration.

Turdibekova, who fought in the -57 kg weight class, was defeated by Taiwanese boxer Lin Yui-Tin at the Olympics. Lin Yui-Tin went on to win the Olympic gold medal in that weight category.

According to tests conducted by the International Boxing Association (IBA), Lin Yui-Tin was confirmed to be male.

Earlier, it was reported that Sitora Turdibekova would receive $100,000 from IBA President Umar Kremlev in recognition of her performance.
