The World Championship in which Nuriddinov and Jorayev are participating, begins

The World Weightlifting Championship started in Bogota, the capital of Colombia.  More than 500 athletes from 93 countries will participate in the World Cup.

The national team of Uzbekistan will participate in the competitions with 10 athletes.  In the -89 kg weight category, Sarvarbek Zafarjanov was not able to recover from his injury and was not included in the final composition of the national team.

-67 kg: Adhamjon Ergashev ("A" group);
-67 kg: Doston Yakubov ("A" group);
-81 kg: Ogabek Tokhtayev ("B" group);
-81 kg: Muhammadkadir Toshtemirov ("A" group);
-102 kg: Sharofiddin Amriddinov ("V" group);
-109 kg: Ruslan Nuriddinov ("A" group);
+109 kg: Akbar Jorayev ("A" group);
-55 kg: Nigora Abdullayeva ("A" group);
-81 kg: Rigina Adashboyeva ("B" group);
-87 kg: Tursunoy Jabborova ("A" group).

The first performances of the representatives of Uzbekistan will be held on 8 December.  Nigora Abdullayeva will defend the honor of the country among women in -55 kg.  Olympic champions Ruslan Nuriddinov and Akbar Jorayev will start their campaign in the tournament on 16-17 December.
