Norov announces the main tasks of the interim government of Afghanistan

The main task of the interim government of Afghanistan, formed by the Taliban movement, is to fulfill its promises to the international community.  Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Norov stated this in his speech at the international conference on Afghanistan on the topic "Afghanistan: security and economic development" held at the Congress Hall in Tashkent.

(Acting) Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov listed the important tasks which are on the agenda of the Afghan government in his speech.

" Immediate implementation of the main demands of the international community by the interim government, including the creation of an inclusive government based on broad representation, the protection of women's rights, and the admission of national minorities, as well as Afghans, to full school education, are the main tasks.  This is a guarantee of a peaceful future for the entire Afghan people," said the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.

For reference, more than 100 participants from more than 20 countries, as well as leading international organizations - the UN, the Food and Agriculture Organization, the European Union, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the Organization of Economic Cooperation are participating in the conference in Tashkent.
