Rustam Davutovich Sulaymonov has been assigned as the first deputy governor of the Navoi region, overseeing finance, economy, and poverty reduction. The regional government's information service announced this appointment.
Prior to this role, Rustam Sulaymonov served as the deputy chairman of the board at the joint-stock commercial bank "Mikkreditbank."
Rustam Sulaymonov, born in 1982 in the Shofirkon district of Bukhara region, holds a higher education. He graduated from Tashkent State University of Economics in 2004 and completed his studies in economics and banking at the Academy of Banking and Finance in 2012.
Previously, Nodirbek Yoqubov, who oversaw Piskent district in Tashkent region, resigned from his position, leading to the appointment of Muzaffar Aripov as the acting governor in his stead
