The trial of Jahangir Ulugmurodov is postponed again

5744The trial of Jahangir Ulugmurodov, who was sentenced to three years in prison for sending a prohibited message to a group of ten people on Telegram, has been postponed. Lawyer Abdumalik Abdullayev provided this information.
It is noted that the criminal case opened against Jahangir Ulugmurodov is currently under appeal by the criminal trial panel of the Tashkent regional court.
Yesterday, on July 6, a trial was scheduled for the criminal case against Ulugmurodov. However, the court was adjourned, and the next court session has been rescheduled for July 14 of this year at 3:00 p.m.
The defense has taken the position of seeking acquittal with strong grounds and is requesting the court to cancel the sentence and immediately release Ulugmurodov in the courtroom itself.
We would like to remind you that according to the judgment of the Akkurgan District Court on Criminal Cases dated May 8, 2023, Jahangir Ulug'muradov was charged with Article 244-1 of the Criminal Code, which pertains to the preparation, storage, distribution, or demonstration of materials that threaten public safety and public order. The judgment imposed a three-year imprisonment sentence under Article 57 of the Criminal Code, which allows for a lighter punishment, specifically paragraph 3, paragraph "g".
