Nasaf fans involved in road accident after match, one dead (video)

On October 30, fans of Kashkadarya’s “Nasaf” football club were involved in a road accident while returning from a match against Namangan’s “Navbahor.” The incident was reported by the Nasaf press service.

According to the report, a group of supporters who had traveled to Namangan to cheer for their team at the “Navbahor–Nasaf” match were returning to Qarshi when their vehicle was involved in an accident on the Takhtakoracha pass.

As a result of the accident, one fan, Mahmud Muhammadiyev, lost his life. Four other fans sustained various injuries and were hospitalized.

“The Nasaf Football Club expresses its deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of our devoted supporter, Mahmud Muhammadiyev. The funeral will be held tomorrow at 8:00 a.m. in Kitob district,” the club said in its statement.

It is worth noting that earlier, a bus carrying fans of Brazil’s “Flamengo” football club overturned in the state of Rio de Janeiro. Forty-six people were injured in that accident, four of whom remain in serious condition.
