On December 28, at 08:11 local time, an earthquake struck the Yangikurgan district of Namangan region. This information was reported by the Republican Center for Seismological Prognostic Monitoring of FVV.

The earthquake's epicenter was located at 41.19 degrees north latitude and 71.74 degrees east longitude in the Namangan region's Yangikurgan district. Its magnitude measured M=3.2, with a depth of 10 kilometers. The epicenter was situated 211 kilometers southeast of Tashkent.

The earthquake was felt in various regions of the republic:

- 2 points at a distance of 9 km in Yangikurgan district.
- 2 points in Chortoq district, 11 km away.
- 2 points in Kosonsoy district, 16 km away.

It's worth noting that on December 13, an earthquake occurred in the Navoi and Samarkand regions. Additionally, on December 14, tremors from an earthquake in Kyrgyzstan were felt within Uzbekistan's territory.
