A person suspected of committing a double murder was arrested near Almaty in the Namangan region, as reported by "Zakon.kz." The arrest took place in Uchqorgan, following a joint operation by police officers from both countries. The individual, a citizen of Uzbekistan, had been wanted for 12 years since entering a pensioner's house in Yenbekshiqozoq district of Almaty region in 2012, where they committed the murders and robbed the property.
In 2024, the Kazakhstan police have apprehended 58 wanted criminals, including the founder of an LLC who vanished in Astana in 2020 after collecting 4 billion tenge from 144 shareholders.
