A 29-year-old woman doused herself with gasoline and set herself on fire in the Yangiqorgon district of the Namangan region, as reported by Hayot Shamsutdinov, the head of the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office, to QALAMPIR.UZ.
On June 10, following a family dispute, the woman poured gasoline on herself and ignited it in the yard of her apartment building.
The woman, who had four children, had no prior criminal record and was unemployed.
"The woman died as a result of this incident. A criminal case has been initiated under Article 103, Part 1 of the Criminal Code (inducing suicide)," stated Hayot Shamsutdinov.
It is worth noting that a similar incident occurred earlier in Samarkand, where a woman born in 1991 committed suicide by pouring liquefied gas condensate on herself.
