In Namangan, four members of a family died from carbon monoxide poisoning. Hayat Shamsutdinov, the press secretary of the General Prosecutor's Office, informed QALAMPIR.UZ about this incident.
During the night of December 15 to December 16 of this year, a citizen named M.M. (born in 1975), her husband K.K. (born in 1982), their child M.M. (born in 2004), and the minor H.M. (born in 2009) succumbed to carbon monoxide poisoning.
The family members were affected by the gas emitted from the stove in the kitchen, which was connected to the factory-made 'Iranian stove' via a rubber hose. This exposure resulted from the natural gas heat emanating from the stove.
Initial reports indicated that citizens M.M. and K.K., along with M.M., suffered from carbon monoxide poisoning. However, it was found that the death of the juvenile H.M. was caused by general body poisoning from carbon dioxide. Forensic and other relevant examinations have been initiated to determine the exact causes of their deaths.
Presently, the district prosecutor's office is conducting an investigation into this tragic incident.
It's important to note that previously, another family—a couple and their two daughters—living in the 'Obad' MFY area of the Uzbek district in the Fergana region also died from carbon monoxide poisoning.
