Company in Namangan steals 11 billion soums worth of electricity

A company in Namangan has been found to have illegally consumed electricity worth more than 11 billion soums. The Electricity, Petroleum Products and Gas Use Control Inspectorate reported this.
According to the statement, an inspection carried out by the Prosecutor General's Office task force in Namangan city found that electrical equipment at a non-residential building owned by the private enterprise "S.F." had been connected directly to the power grid, bypassing the electricity meter, resulting in the illegal consumption of electricity.
The violation caused an estimated 11.08 billion soums in damages to the regional electricity supply company.
Earlier, authorities uncovered several farming enterprises in Jizzakh region that had illegally consumed electricity worth 1.4 billion soums.
