The Muslim Board issues a statement on the month of Ramadan

The Muslim Board of Uzbekistan has set up a working group to meet the holy month of Ramadan and observe the month in accordance with Islamic rules. This is reported by the press service of the Muslim Board.

It is noted that a working group composed of well-known scientists and qualified specialists will monitor the beginning of Ramadan on the basis of astronomical analysis and submit its results to the Council of Scholars under the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan.

«The announcement of the beginning of Ramadan will be considered by the Council of Scholars» - said the report of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan.

For reference, the beginning of Ramadan has been announced in neighboring Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. It is noteworthy that the representatives of the Kazakhstan Muslim Board said that the decision to start the holy month had been agreed with the clergy of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
