Uzbek president sends sympathy to South Korea following air tragedy

4282President Shavkat Mirziyoyev extended his condolences to the Acting President of South Korea, Choi Sang-Mok, in response to the tragic plane crash in the city of Muan, which resulted in numerous casualties. The President's press service reported this on December 29.
In his message, the Uzbek leader expressed deep sympathy to the people of South Korea, offering support to the families of the victims and wishing a swift recovery for the injured.
Earlier today, a plane carrying 181 people crashed at Muan International Airport in southwest South Korea. The aircraft veered off the runway, collided with a barrier, and caught fire.
The Jeju Airplane, returning from Bangkok, Thailand, carried 175 passengers and six crew members. Among the passengers, 173 were South Korean nationals, and two were Thai citizens. The Boeing aircraft had reported an emergency the day before and had made an emergency landing before continuing its journey.
According to the latest reports, 179 people lost their lives, with only two survivors – a passenger and a crew member.
