The advance payment required for entrepreneurs purchasing state assets in Uzbekistan will be reduced from 30 percent to 15 percent. The announcement was made during a videoconference meeting chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on July 21 to review the country's performance in the first half of the year and discuss priorities through the end of 2026.

During the meeting, it was noted that since the beginning of the year, production output has decreased by UZS 11 trillion across 57 sectors and 76 regional enterprises.

The Deputy Prime Minister was instructed to conduct a company-by-company analysis with regional governors and sector leaders within 10 days. Any problems identified at enterprises are to be addressed directly on site.

The Industrial Council was tasked with preparing proposals to recover UZS 11 trillion in lost production at 133 enterprises.

It was also reported that around 3,000 state-owned facilities worth UZS 22 trillion are currently listed for auction. Regional governors were criticized for lacking an effective system for selling state assets.

A new privatization program will be launched soon. Under the program, 1,300 real estate properties worth UZS 100 trillion, 8,000 hectares of land, and state shares in 66 enterprises will be put up for sale.

For entrepreneurs purchasing state assets, the advance payment requirement will be reduced from 30 percent to 15 percent. The remaining amount will be allowed to be paid in installments without interest.
