Mirziyoyev discussed the election with the head of the OSCE mission

Today, on July 3, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the head of the mission of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (OSCE) Ursula Gachek and discussed preparations for the upcoming presidential election and its implementation.  Discussed transfer issues.

The head of state noted with great satisfaction that constructive dialogue, active exchanges, open and effective cooperation with the OSCE have been established.
 At the meeting, detailed views were exchanged on various aspects of conducting the national voting process in accordance with international standards.

It was noted that the Bureau’s experts participated in the modernization of the national election system, including the development of the Election Code of Uzbekistan.

It is worth mentioning that the OSCE mission also participated in monitoring the referendum on the Constitution held on April 30 of this year.
