Mirziyoyev congratulates Uzbek citizens

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent holiday greetings to the people of Uzbekistan on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan. This was reported by the press service of the President.  

“Our Constitution has always been and will remain a reliable guarantee in our country for strengthening our national independence, maintaining peace and stability, interethnic friendship and harmony, and ensuring the irreversible nature of our reforms.  

In this sense, we should be very proud of our Fundamental Law, which is a vivid symbol and practical expression of the legal thinking, will of our people,” said Mirziyoyev.  

The President also noted that in recent years, the economy of Uzbekistan has doubled, per capita income has reached $3,000, the poverty rate has fallen from 23 percent to 11 percent, and coverage in preschool education has exceeded 74 percent and in higher education 39 percent, calling this a "historical achievement."  

He also noted that the updated constitution stipulates the rights of citizens in the field of ecology at the constitutional level, and the state's obligations to protect the environment and maintain ecological balance are specifically strengthened.  

"I once again sincerely congratulate you, my dear compatriots, on Constitution Day and wish you all good health, peace and tranquility in your homes, and prosperity.  

May the prestige and glory of our homeland increase!  

May our people, the creators of all our achievements and victories, be safe!" said the President.
