Uzbek and Azerbaijani Presidents exchange birthday wishes and talk on cooperation

1562Today, December 24, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, congratulated the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, on his birthday in a telephone call, as reported by the press service of the President.
During the call, Shavkat Mirziyoyev highlighted the significant role of the President of Azerbaijan in restoring the country's independence, maintaining its territorial integrity, ensuring sustainable development, and strengthening its international prestige.
The Presidents also discussed further efforts to enhance and stabilize relations between the two countries, with a focus on deepening bilateral cooperation at the highest levels.
It was noted with great satisfaction that the joint efforts this year have led to intensive development in bilateral cooperation. The volume of mutual trade has grown significantly, and cooperation across various sectors, including manufacturing, automotive, textiles, electrical engineering, agriculture, and tourism, is progressing actively. Additionally, the cultural and humanitarian exchange programs are being successfully implemented.
The leaders also exchanged views on the current health situation and discussed plans for future cooperation in this area.
Earlier, Shavkat Mirziyoyev also sent a congratulatory letter to Ilham Aliyev on his birthday.
