Mirziyoyev receives Turkey's highest state award

During his visit to Ankara, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan was honored with the "Insignia of the Republic of Turkey," as reported by the President's press service.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan ceremoniously presented Turkey's highest state award to the Uzbek leader.
"Receiving this prestigious award from the Republic of Turkey on the day we signed the declaration to deepen our comprehensive strategic partnership is a tremendous honor. This award symbolizes the centuries-old friendship between our nations, the high level of trust we share, and the swift development of our bilateral relations," Mirziyoyev remarked.
The award, as per the decision of the Turkish President, is bestowed upon statesmen who have significantly contributed to fostering friendly relations with Turkey.
