Mirziyoyev condemns the attack on Trump

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev responded to the attempted assassination of U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump. This information was shared by the President's press secretary, Sherzod Asadov.

"President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was deeply troubled by the news that former U.S. President Donald Trump was shot while delivering a speech at a campaign event in Pennsylvania. Our nation's leader strongly condemns this violent act and wishes Donald Trump a swift recovery," stated the report.

As a reminder, on July 13, Donald Trump, a candidate for the U.S. presidency, was shot and wounded by an unidentified individual during a rally with his supporters in Pennsylvania. Trump sustained an injury to his right ear. The Federal Bureau of Investigation has verified that the assassination attempt on the former President was orchestrated by 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania. The deceased Crooks fired at Trump during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. He positioned himself on the roof of a nearby building approximately 100 meters from the event and used an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle to carry out the shooting.
